The Joomla Extension directory itself uses (or used) Mosets.

It doesn't say J5 is compatible with the JED but its server requirement states >= J4 so perhaps it will work.

Not natively. It seems to work fine with the V4.X version of MT. I purchased the current version and it does work in J5.

It looks like that is for core articles though. I will try it and see what options there are. I am looking for something that is part of the Mosets search form so users can filter Mosets results by start point and distance from their location. I don't know if there is a way to integrate something like this into that form.

EDIT: I installed it and looked at the config. The only options for even using lat/lon fields is in "Make sure to provide a field for the Latitude and another field for the Longitude on each Joomla Article / Custom Field Group."

Some background: I have been using Mosets for years and I am pretty dedicated to it. It is reasonably priced (I don't run an actual business), fast and all the functionality I need plus more is built into it.......EXCEPT radius/distance searching.

I have used a radius search plugin for years in J3 that worked great at the time, but it was from MyJoom and they went under years ago. It stopped fully working even in J3 a while back and there is no support for it anymore. I am not a coder so I don't know how to update it for J5 and get it to work in the new version of Mosets.

I reached out to the developer of Mosets and he has ZERO interest in adding that functionality to the component itself unfortunately......
