Best pagebuilder for Joomla?
Sorry if not allowed. I just discovered 'page builders' and their awesome front end editing capabilities. At least in the tutorial videos they were For my localhost. dev. joomla site, I installed the quickstart Helix Ultimate package, which included 'sp page builder'. So far so good. I don't know if it's faulty but the page builder is not working right, only the smaller editor works, the one for changing the logo etc. They say go to templates>sp page builder>options but that only brings the smaller editor. I know, this is a Joomshaper question but I googled, watched videos, and sent a question to joomshaper and got no answers. So...wondering if I can download and use a different page builder (sp is not the only one) with my existing website, and also which one(s) do people recommend? I will start with the free version, and pay for the pro later. Thanks!

When you install the Helix Ultimate template you get a button for SP Page Builder. However, in order to use that you have to buy the commercial extension. I have supported customers who use SPPB v3 and SPPB v4 but I am not really a fan. I find it too complex, too much work to layout each individual page and I prefer to work with Joomla's articles instead.
Therefore I use and would recommend another commercial extension called YOOtheme Pro. It has a Page Builder, but even better: a Template Builder, which is a Page Builder to create templates for articles in a category. It supports dynamic content en even Joomla's Custom Fields. And you can import all kind of layouts and elements that they offer at their website.

Thanks Peter. I will check out YooTheme pb. I assumed the sp pagebuilder that came with helix was the free vesion(they have a free version, and was going to upgrade later. I liked the [youtube] videos showing how you could edit right on the frontpage, showing the modules and positions and such. Does YooTheme have the same thing, where you can be on the front page and make edits and see it be effected in real time? Cause if it does I would buy the pro version. I have been googling and can't really find a good answer.

Yes, in the back-end there's a "YOOtheme" button that opens the front-end view where you can edit a page and see the results in real time.Lakeside55 wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 9:48 pmDoes YooTheme have the same thing, where you can be on the front page and make edits and see it be effected in real time?
