Problems with TinyMCE

Post by theartistep » Sat May 18, 2024 2:02 pm

I've been upgrading quite a few sites to Joomla 5, since SiteGround updated it's servers.

First problem was the TinyMCE editor wasn't visible. This is fixed when the admin user clears their browser's history.

Once that was taken care of, and I was working with one of the website administrators, we discovered that if we wanted to insert a document for download into an article, We Couldn't.

Highlight with words in the article to insert the download link
Click on the CMS Content dropdown and click on media
The Media window opens
Navigate to the desired folder
Upload a PDF file
Select the pdf file and the box opens in the lower left to choose Download or Embed
Choose Download
Click on the green Insert Media button in the upper right.
Nothing Happens

This is happening on all 11 websites that I've upgraded.

Suggestions?

I can confirm this behaviour. My browser Developer Tools show a Javascript error. I don't see a bug report in the Tracker.
