Error on installation J5

Greetings, i have setup an Ubuntu VPS and installed Nginx, MySQL and PHP on it, but when i navigate to the IP address to start the Joomla installation process for the first time i get the following error.

Does anyone knows what is do wrong?

You must have a domain name, not IP address.

To use FPA it is not required to install Joomla first?

The FPA is still useful - it will give us information about your hosting environment but you've given us that info already. You're running PHP 8.3 and MySQL 8 so no issues there for a Joomla 5 installation. Ensure all other system requirements are met, including some specific PHP extensions as listed here: https://manual.joomla.org/docs/next/get ... uirements/

Turn on debug and PHP error reporting (in your server php.ini or if possible in the Joomla configuration.php file) then report any additional errors to this forum thread.

Could this error happen because the Ubuntu 24.04 and PHP 8.3.6 are new releases and not yet compatible?

I fixed it and the installation was completed, but the domain name for some reason doesn't work the only way to find the website is via IP address, although i have added the domain in the NGINX configuration and the IP address of the vps in the domain provider admin site to my domain name both for IPv4 and IPv6.

That is working. However it's http. For https you need port 443 and a certificate.

Some browsers block access to http.

I ran kickstart.php to restore a backup .jpa file and the installation broke may this happened because is not HHTPS?

Yes the lack of SSL could well be one reason (and it's not the fault of Joomla).

I see another issue (strange): PHP Supports J! 5.1.0: No but the FPA reports PHP 8.3.6. I don't know why it says "No" when you are running the recommended PHP 8.3.x
